In November 2025 my sister & myself were tasked to empty my father’s estate located approx. 100 km. from where we live. Initially we were unsure how to proceed. We had previously met Mike & his teams on several occasions at our home. His company Get R Gone has done various services for us. They have removed junk items such as BBQ’s & exterior items for “dump runs” Also they have moved heavy furniture from 1 floor to another on several occasions. They donated outdated furnishings to Habitat for Humanity here in St. Thomas. So I contacted Mike not knowing if his company could help us or recommend someone who could, because of the distant location.

Not only was Mike empathetic & helpful but also was not phased with the challenge ahead of us. Communicating with him was an easier part of the journey we began. We set up a timeline. He made suggestions of his contact with Just In Time Solutions. Between the 2 companies, we had a solid plan. This is essential when you are grieving.

We have dealt with many of the Get R Gone teams. One team we had in late December was the 2 B’s. Bryce & Brennen came & moved some furniture out of our home & then moved some personal large furnishings from my father’s back to our home. Not only were they polite & courteous but very efficient & punctual getting the job done. They seemed genuinely happy to be doing this work & demonstrated interest & understanding at our situation. Incidentally, this was the beginning of the snow season approaching, another challenge since my father’s estate is located in a snow region of Lambton Shores.

We then had Just In Time Solutions come through, prepare & execute an auction. They worked their magic with a positive result all in the snowy winter we’ve had.

It was time for Get R Gone to return. They emptied the remainders of unsold auction pieces, separating them into donations, & trash all in a timely manner. In a 1 hour time lapse Brennen & Mike Junior laboured hard & even made a last minute furniture delivery to us. Again the cheery disposition and positive personalities of these 2 hard workers needs to be acknowledged.

In conclusion, I cannot think of any reason why you would go wrong by hiring Get R Gone. Not only did all people we met in this company go above & beyond to meet a task at hand but you can count on fair treatment, community support through their connections. They were trust worthy & dependable
to deal with. Would we hire Get R Gone Again: 100%.
